Road or Floor Sawing

Is the most commonly used diamond cutting method. It is typically used to cut horizontal flat surfaces such as floors, bridge decks, and pavement. Also called slab saws, floor saws feature a diamond blade that is mounted on a walk-behind machine requiring only one operator.

Road Sawing by Concrete Cutting Sydney

Floor saws are typically used to provide expansion joints, remove damaged pavement sections, clean and repair random cracks for repair, and remove concrete sections for demolition purposes. We have a selection of floor saws to suit a wide range of requirements.

Concrete Cutting's diesel floor saws are ones of the biggest floor saws on the market capable of accommodating a 1500mm diameter blade. Cutting to a depth of 635mm with 72 horse power being delivered to the shaft by an 84 horse power engine cutting reinforced concrete has never been easier. Electric floor sawing is mostly carried out inside e.g. warehouses, shop floors, and other areas where diesel machines can not be used due to noise levels and fumes. The electric floor saw is operated by a 3 phase 380-415v supply, which we can also provide.

Typical applications include trenching, floor chasing, road and runway repairs, crack inducement cuts, large openings in floor slabs and expansion joints. Floor sawing is an excellent demolition aid due to its speed, control of the process, low noise and vibration. Because this method requires little or no reinstatement work on completion, it is particularly useful in finished areas such as supermarkets, hospitals and offices.
