The main problem with untreated concrete floors is first of all the dust. You can never get rid of it. The concrete floors only look okay, when they are wet, but as soon as they dry up, they are just as dusty as before you cleaned them, and even wet they will never be beautiful. The old way was to cover the surface with wax. But this is both a costly affair and will need to be done over and over again. It was found that by grinding, polishing and sealing the concrete floors, the micro-roughness of the floors is removed, and this micro-roughness is the cause of all the dust accumulation because the floors are impossible to clean. And by grinding, polishing and sealing the concrete no other floor topping is needed. In fact, the outcome will be a shiny floor with an appearance similar to marble, and a lot of health problems such as dust allergies will be a thing of the past - there will no longer be any concrete dust.
